IATA Open Air JSON Library
Objective
IATA Open API Working Group aims to facilitate the development of airline industry API standards and best practices based on open technology, open industry-owned data definitions. The group has delivered the airline industry adopted REST API Standards and Best Practices IATA Open Air API Standards and Best Practices.
For the consistency of data model definition in the industry proprietary APIs, industry API providers are recommended to reuse the industry standard data model in the API design. For this purpose, the Open Air JSON library has been delivered, with the source from the Airline Industry Data Model (AIDM) integrated logical model.

Open Air API certification
IATA offers the IATA Open Air API Certification to recognize industry API providers who follow the IATA Open Air API Standards and Best Practices in API design and implementation.
The group invites API developers to apply for certification.
JSON Library Consumption Guide
Developers is advised to follow the IATA Open Air JSON Library Consumption Guide to use the standard schema objects in the proprietary API design and achieve the IATA Open Air certification.
