Unload Bag at Terminating Destination (X)
Description
This use case illustrates messaging for a simple arrival at destination with held bag
Preconditions
Bag is packed in ULD and ULD is loaded on aircraft at departure for flight segment
Main Flow
# | Message | Intent |
BagRQ | Airline instructed arrival handlers to anticipate a bag
ULD_RQ | Airline instructed arrival handler to anticipate an ULD
ULD_RS | Handler unloaded ULD
BagRS | BHS recorded delivery of bag to reclaim |
Note: above flow is for illustration. Some steps in flow may skip messaging as parties often agree to only “report by exception”. And step 11 (instruction on ULD) does not have an equivalent in RP1745 messaging
Note: Step 10 may advise in which ULD or hold compartment the bag is packed (no direct support under 1745, except as wrapped in BMM)
Post Conditions
Bag is unloaded and presented to passenger at earlier agreed location (usually at baggage reclaim)
Data Elements
Bag Segment in BagRQ, BagRS identifies the bag (bag tag) and the segment for which bag sees transportation
ULD Allocation in BagRQ, ULD_RQ, ULD_RS identifies the ULD in which bag is packed for transport
